ALL OPAT CENTRES are encouraged to enter data on a quarterly basis so that a national picture can be established but also centres can have a benchmark regarding OPAT services and outcomes.

The core data that will need to be entered from all submitting centres includes the following:
For each quarter:

Demographic information OPAT hours assigned to medical, nursing and pharmacy teams
Primary Infective Diagnosis by treatment days and episodes
Number of OPAT patients discharged, number of patient episodes and number of OPAT treatment days
Antiinfectives used by Primary Infective Diagnosis
Adverse events
Outcomes - infection and opat outcome by Primary Infective Diagnosis (not mandatory but desirable)

Register your centre now to submit core data for your OPAT service.

Once you have submitted your data your results will be available "real time" to enable comparison to other hospitals and region and to benchmark against the national picture.
