It is estimated the updated system will be available for use towards the end of 2017. The BSAC will inform the OPAT community once this update is complete.

The National OPAT Outcomes Registry provides the most comprehensive picture of OPAT service provision in the UK. NORS correlates reports and data from all submitting OPAT services. It offers an overview of the number of OPAT centres in the
UK and Ireland, models of service, number of patients admitted to OPAT centres, treatments days saved
and other vital audit data such as most commonly used agents and proportion of successful outcomes.
You will not be able to enter data to NORS unless you have registered to use the site.

ALL OPAT CENTRES are encouraged to enter data on a quarterly basis so that a national picture can be established but also centres can have a benchmark regarding OPAT services and outcomes.
The core data that will need to be entered from all submitting centres includes the following:
For each quarter:
Demographic information OPAT hours assigned to medical, nursing and pharmacy teams
Primary Infective Diagnosis by treatment days and episodes
Number of OPAT patients discharged, number of patient episodes and number of OPAT treatment days
Antiinfectives used by Primary Infective Diagnosis
Outcomes - infection and opat outcome by Primary Infective Diagnosis (not mandatory but desirable)
